The Olympics took place a year late, Walt Disney turned 50 and Friends had a reunion! What a year.
For many, it felt like we had to stop and start our lives on many occasions, but time carried on. It’s sometimes difficult to see all the incredible achievements you have made until you take a step back and reflect. As we step out of 2021 and into 2022, we thought it was only fair that we start the year reflecting on all we have achieved, all we have overcome and what to expect next from Intouch Games.
Our incredible team grew, as we welcomed members from all over the world recruiting an amazing 150 staff members and bringing our Intouch Games team to 400. We finally had the opportunity to host in-person events, bringing back our famous parties, our obligatory Beers on the Boss, reigniting our social calendar.
We continued to work closely with the Intouch Global Foundation, hosting a charity auction as well as our Christmas Box appeal, raising over £4000 across the year. We also partnered with Gordon Moody and pledged core funding to help build the world’s first residential treatment centre for women.
We were thrilled to become proud sponsors of West Bromwich Albion FC. This partnership will cover the sporting season and is a relationship we look forward to growing.
Our brands continued to advance, and we were delighted to launch our 8th brand Jammy Monkey in September. Our sister company, Slot Factory, continued to boom and we worked hard to create meaningful relationships with our customers.
And if that wasn’t enough… our highly anticipated state-of-the-art canteen, ready with our onsite chef finally reopened, which mouth-watering delicacies served daily!
Above all, we worked incredibly hard to keep our customers and our team safe. Adapting to the new normal of working from home, conducting meetings on zoom and checking slack more than any other social media platform!
Lastly, we ended the year on a high by being named Mobile Operator of the Year at the 2021 EGR Operator Awards.
If there’s anything we’ve learnt this last year, it’s that resilience is everywhere. The mantra we heard most is ‘things will never be the same’ and with some luck, we hope it never is!
As we enter 2022, we hope to continue our growth, whilst continuing to develop new relationships with our customers. We hope to bring you even more incredible games and nurture the fantastic culture we have created here at Intouch Games. We hope to keep our team safe… and finally get to go on that all-inclusive holiday we’ve all been desperately waiting for!
